Ephemeral Echoes: A Tribute to Lost Memory

In Ephemeral Echoes: A Tribute to Lost Memory, Léa Giordano explores the transient nature of memory and the fragility of captured moments. The installation features a reversed plastic bottle suspended from the ceiling, with a tiny hole allowing drops of bleach to delicately cascade onto film positioned at the bottom of an emptied aquarium. As the chemical reaction unfolds, the images on the film slowly dissolve, symbolising the loss and impermanence inherent in the human experience. A finger-camera provides a live feedback, offering viewers an intimate glimpse into the dissolution of these ephemeral echoes, highlighting the bittersweet beauty found in the remnants of what could have been.
